Why Do Children Lie?

Children lying is a very common situation. The most common reason for children to lie is the need to protect themselves as a result of anxiety and fear. Again, the fact that the people in the child's environment, especially those responsible for their care, constantly lie is another reason that leads the child to lie. Therefore, instead of telling your child not to lie, it will be a more correct behavior to tell the truth even in situations where you will be in great difficulty.

How to Prevent Lying?

While many different approaches can be used to prevent lying, the most important among them is to be a good role model for the child. In other words, as parents, always telling the truth to both your child and those around you is very important for them to understand the importance of truth. Again, not being punished for a wrong behavior even when they tell the truth will make it easier for them to tell the truth.
