Yesterday, a series of accidents occurred on the Kırşehir-Ankara route due to rain and icing. It was a tragic accident where citizens, many of whom were students, lost their lives when the passenger bus they were in overturned on the frozen Kırıkkale road. Many injured and deceased in the traffic accident were also students studying at Kırıkkale University.

We Must Be Responsible Passengers

Today, a bus driver was identified making the same mistake in the same location. The driver, who was operating the passenger bus, first sent messages on his phone and then started talking to the person on the phone. A passenger noticed the situation on the route, where the same weather conditions were effective, and recorded the bus driver. When police vehicles patrolling the route stopped the bus, the passenger showed the camera footage to the police, thus narrowly preventing this mistake from resulting in an accident. Although the driver, who was fined for his carelessness, continued his journey, he likely realized his mistake.
